Educators and early childhood professionals working together with families can help young children become safe and independent road users.
Starting Out Safely has developed a series of resources that support early childhood professionals and families. The resource includes ideas for adults to help young children develop skills, behaviours and attitudes to be safer on our roads as passengers, pedestrians and cyclists.
We have worked with the Department of Transport and some of Australia’s leading early childhood education and road safety experts to put together a range of best-practice guidelines, educator resources, policies, information sheets and videos.
ELAA delivers Victoria’s early childhood road safety education program, Starting Out Safely, on behalf of the
Transport Accident Commision (TAC).
